It’s a Fine Time for Cocktails, It’s Lake Hour! Emerging Hard Seltzer Brand Brings Lakeside Vibes and Good Times to New Markets
Actor Wyatt Russell and Producer Richard Peete Know Lakes. And Drinks. And Vibes. Lake Hour Expands for Year-Round Enjoyment, Anytime, Anywhere
Water Skiing in jeans, drink in-hand. Dad’s at the charcoal grill. The kids are…somewhere. Life is good. Lake Hour, the new hard seltzer, created by film producer Richard Peete and Actor Wyatt Russell, is basically those vibes in a cool can. And it’s now available for purchase at select retailers in New York, Minnesota, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Georgia, New Jersey, Oklahoma, Florida, and online nationwide.
No matter the season, Lake Hour is the perfect companion for making memories—whether you’re by the water or finding your lake wherever you are! Made with REAL liquor (vodka and tequila), REAL ingredients, and only 3.4 grams of pure cane sugar, it’s the drink that brings the lake life to you year-round. So, whether it's a crisp fall evening, a cozy winter gathering, or a springtime adventure, Lake Hour invites you to "find your lake" and enjoy the moment anytime, anywhere.
In creating Lake Hour—while sitting in a hot tub, naturally—Rich and Wyatt aimed to craft a hard seltzer that stood out from the artificially sweetened options saturating the ready-to-drink market. Their approach involved selecting top-shelf vodka and authentic blanco tequila as the foundational spirits, complemented by a modest 3.4 grams of natural, unrefined cane sugar.
Lake Hour’s flavors bring a refreshing departure to the hard seltzer landscape, featuring vodka-based Honeysuckle Ginger, Peach Jasmine, and Rosemary Yuzu; and Watermelon Cucumber with tequila.
"Bringing Lake Hour to life has truly been a remarkable experience for me. Rich and I poured our hearts into this launch, tapping into the nostalgia of our memories growing up on the lake. It feels like everyone has a lake story or experience surrounding invaluable time spent with family and friends sipping on a great beverage. Our hope is that imbibing in a Lake Hour evokes those same feelings for others, and we couldn't be more excited to spread the love to new markets."Says Wyatt Russell, Co-CEO of Lake Hour.
Rich and Wyatt's idea for Lake Hour stemmed from their childhood memories spent on the lake, where authentic and genuine moments were more than just appreciated—they were a way of life. Their goal was to create a brand that reflected these core values, going beyond just being a corporate entity, to evoke a sense of connection to simpler times and the shared memories that hold a special place in their hearts. They have a story to tell and their personal connection to it made Lake Hour their baby. No investors, no corporate entities, just their real-life experiences bottled up and put in a can.
"Developing Lake Hour scratched an entirely new creative itch for both of us, and the process was incredibly enjoyable. By combining our diverse creative backgrounds, Wyatt and I crafted a brand that is distinctive and embraces a lighthearted approach,” says Richard Peete, Co-CEO of Lake Hour. “Lake Hour is more than just a drink; It’s meant to be shared with loved ones, no matter what you’re doing together.”
Originating from the scenic Finger Lakes region of New York, Lake Hour is causing quite a stir as it surfaces in select stores throughout Minnesota, Wisconsin, Florida, New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Georgia.
